Can I just turn up?
Yes, but you will queue. Without a reservation you wait in line at Piazza San Gaetano 68: entry is guaranteed to those in the queue, and the official booking page says the wait runs from about 10 minutes to 90 minutes in busy periods. The same page says its skip-the-line ticket costs more than the one bought on the spot, without giving the amount.
What can I book through Tiqets?
Our partner Tiqets sells a skip-the-line ticket with a guided tour at 18 euros and a version with pizza and a drink at 33 euros, with prices and availability shown live on the tickets page. Tiqets lists the pizza version as 1 hour 30 minutes. Check the cancellation terms on the Tiqets page before booking.
Which ticket should I choose?
- You want certainty at busy times: book a date and time in advance. Departures are fixed (see the departure times).
- You need another language: the standard tour is in Italian and English. Other languages run only by reservation with the association.
- Evening visit: a Thursday tour at 21:00 runs by booking only, for at least 10 people.
- You are flexible and travel alone or in a small group: you can queue at the door, accepting the wait.
Whatever you choose, official reservations are not refundable, so check the date, the time and the names before you confirm.
Is the Greek-Roman theatre included?
The official FAQ describes the theatre as a visit of about 20 minutes, but the official booking page treats it as a separate reservation, so we cannot say whether it is included in the standard ticket. Check the official site, or ask the association, before you go.
