Buy tickets →Tiqets asks you to arrive 15 minutes before your departure, and one other booking site suggests 30. Without a reservation you queue at the entrance in Piazza San Gaetano 68. The official booking page says the wait runs from about 10 minutes to 90 minutes in busy periods.
Booking is not needed for small groups, but it is required for other languages, large groups, the Thursday evening tour and visits outside the fixed times. The official pages give different group-size thresholds (10 or 15 people), so ask the association if you travel in a group.
The official FAQ gives about 1 hour for the main visit and about 20 minutes more for the Greek-Roman theatre. Tiqets lists 1 hour 30 minutes for the tour, and other guides say 1 to 2 hours. Our own estimate: allow about two hours in total, including the arrival.
